Green Smoothie For Energy

Green SmoothieIf you need a boost of energy in the mornings, then this green smoothie will provide a great, healthy replacement for your morning cup of coffee. Because of its powerful ingredients, this green smoothie is packed full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Along with its delicious flavor, this smoothie can be used as a meal replacement if you are on a diet. Moreover, this green smoothie is going to offer you a great source of calcium, iron, protein, dietary fiber, and Vitamins A and C. If you want to up the protein levels of this smoothie, just add a scoop of protein powder.

An optional ingredient that you can include in this green smoothie is the water and meat of a Thai coconut. It will add 2 grams of protein and a considerable amount of calcium to your smoothie, but it’s up to you whether or not you want to use it.


Here are the ingredients that you’ll need to make this green smoothie:

  •  1 medium banana, peeled
  •  1 kiwi, peeled
  •  1/3 cup goji berries
  •  1/4 cup raw Cacao nibs (or 1/8 cup Cacao powder)
  •  1 stalk of celery, chopped
  •  1 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  •  1 cup fresh baby spinach, chopped
  •  6-8 ounces of water (or coconut water)
  •  2 to 3 ice cubes to chill if desired
  •  1 scoop hemp or rice protein powder (optional)

The ingredients should be added to your blender in the following order: liquids, soft fruits, and green vegetables. You should blend all of the ingredients together on the highest speed setting for about 60 seconds, or until it is creamy.

If your blender is having difficulty blending the Goji berries or cacao nibs, try soaking the Goji berries in water for about 10 minutes, and the cacao nibs should be grounded down in a coffee grinder. Then try blending together in your blender again.
