Breakfast Blend Green Smoothie Recipe
Breakfast isn’t the same without a glass filled to the brim with a brilliant bright orange beverage. No offense to orange juice, but that tasty tang of citrus is chock full of sugar (and has little nutritional value.) So I opt for my own breakfast blend that beats coffee and orange juice combined. This Breakfast Blend Green Smoothie Recipe adds a raw green super start to my day. The secret ingredient: papaya.
This raw green smoothie features seven power-packed all natural and raw ingredients. Papaya is the superstar of the recipe. Papaya was known as the “fruit of the angels” by Christopher Columbus. This heart healthy fruit helps guard against high cholesterol. It’s also a known super food in the arena of preventing cardiovascular disease. The papaya has a buttery texture that adds a silky smooth quality to any raw green smoothie.
Breakfast of Champions!
My Breakfast Blend Green Smoothie Recipe is a seven ingredient success smoothie. The carrot is rich in vitamin A, which as we all know supports eye and vision health. Lemon helps with keeping skin bright. Papaya adds natural sweetness to the raw green smoothie, aids in digestion, and helps fight free radicals. Pineapple and lemon are both full of vitamin C. Turmeric lowers cholesterol and is anti-inflammatory. Bananas are a digestion aid that helps to regulate blood pressure are loaded with potassium. Ginger is an immune boosting, infection fighting, anti-inflammatory superhero. And ginger adds tons of flavor (and almost no calories!)
The ingredients in this green smoothie recipes are all low in calories and high in nutritional value. And the key is to keep the fruits cold prior to blending. The best method is to chop all of the ingredients and freeze over night. The frozen fruits will blend into a smoothie that has a rich, thick consistency.
